Moving On with Positive Changes
As A Wearer of Many Hats, I often spread myself a little thin and take on more than I can comfortably do. This is something I've dealt with all my life because I enjoy doing and learning about so many different things. 

Actually I'm currently reading Refuse to Choose by Barbara Sher and it helped me see that it's OK to have different interests and be what Barbara refers to as a Scanner. 
A person that uses many of their interests, passions, and hobbies to create the life and even the career of their dreams.  


More recently I've taken on to wear an author's hat as I am trying my hand at writing books. This has been a dream of mine since childhood and for me to be able to make this dream happen, I needed to take a step back and reassess my priorities with my web sites, my blogging and my writing in general.

So a decision was made and for the time being this site will go dormant. For a short or long term, has not yet been determined. At some point some of the pages and other components may even be transferred to my other active sites

The Healthy Benefits of Lemons are Many

In small quantities the juice of a lemon can be a great healthy addition to your water or smoothie.  
Lemons and their juices have numerous nutritional health benefits:

So try a little fresh squeezed lemon juice in your drinks or in warm water in the morning. 
I also like to add a slice of ginger to my drinking water. 
The combination of the lemon and ginger gives the water a really nice flavor plus many great health benefits.
It is a healthy way to start your day and your taste buds will be pleasantly surprised
.

I will often add from the list above several of these suggestions in my smoothies.  I do enjoy a good combination of fruits and vegetables. 
Besides bananas and berries, grapes, tropical fruits, melons and even chunks of fresh apples can be added.
Vegetable choices are no different, besides the greens, introduce small pieces of celery, cucumber, cooked beets, carrots and many more. 
Flavor with a small piece of ginger but do start small to begin with or try a sprinkle of cinnamon or turmeric.
I do personally draw the line at onions and garlic.
Combinations of fruits and vegetables are almost endless, experiment with your own smoothie taste buds and enjoy the benefits.

This yellow fruit packs a big nutritional punch and comes wrapped in its own convenient packaging. 
  1. Bananas can help you feel happy by improving your mood.  They help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin.
  2. They are high in blood-pressure lowering potassium and very low in salt.
  3. They provide relief for GI distress.  Bananas are a natural antacid, providing relief from acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD.  
  4. Eating a banana between meals helps stabilize blood sugar and may help against binge eating.
  5. Bananas are high in antioxidants, providing protection from free radicals and chronic disease.​
  6. Eat a banana before a workout or an exam.  The high levels of potassium will help protect against muscle cramps and help keep you more alert.
  7. ​The banana peel when applied directly to bites will help relieve the itching.  They are also known to help remove a wart.
  8. Your shoes or silverware need a little shine?  To polish, apply the inside of the banana peel and buff out with a clean cloth.  (Source: Food Matters)
