My Cat had a Spider for Breakfast
This morning as I was preparing my breakfast, I spotted movement from the corner of my eye and as I turned to check it out, my cat was in full action of batting what seemed to be a small piece of dust. Of course this piece of dust was trying it's best to escape the playfulness of my cat. After several paw swats and a few sample tasting, the spider headed for a hiding place under a shoe parked near the front door.
I have watched Daisy Mae run across a room and jump as high as she could to try to catch a fly and even when one escaped her, she would try again the next time one came flying by her. She did not let the one that got away dampen her spirit or stop her from going after other flies when they invaded her space.
We can definitely learn from watching our pets at play, they give it their best shot. I guess giving up is not part of their nature. The outcome is not always perfect but they keep on trying.
